Virtual
Chloe-Agathe Azencott, PhD

Dr. Azencott’swork focuses mostly on genome-wide association studies, including the integration of information from biological networks, adjustment for population stratification, and post-selection inference.

Speaker: Chloé-Agathe Azencott, PhD
Mines ParisTech, InstitutCurie and INSERM

Bio: Dr. Azencott received her Master of Science in Engineering and Mathematics and Computer Science from École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Bretagne, Brest, France, Magna cum laude.  Her Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science, University of California Irvine, Irvine, CA, Statistical data mining and machine learning for chemoinformatics and drug discovery and Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches, Sorbonne Université, Paris, France Machine learning tools for biomarker discovery.  Dr. Azencott is generally interested in anything pertaining to feature selection in high-dimensional data, with applications to genomics, biology or health. Her work focuses mostly on genome-wide association studies, including the integration of information from biological networks, adjustment for population stratification, and post-selection inference. She is also interested in other omics (gene expression, methylation, etc.) and electronic health records modalities (text, sequences, clinical information, lab results, etc.). Finally, Dr. Azencott also maintains a line of work on chemogenomics (predicting targets for drugs and drugs for targets).
