Ben Goldstein Gives Keynote Address At ACTStat

B&B Faculty member Ben Goldstein, PhD gave the Keynote Address ““Opportunities and Challenges for Clinical Research with Electronic Health Records,” this weekend at the Annual Meeting of the Association of Clinical and Translational Statisticians (ACTStat).  Dr. Goldstein has been working on identifying challenging and creating best practices for analyzing Electronic Health Records data.   

ACTStat is a national meeting for clinical and translational biostatistician that occurs before the Joint Statistical Meetings. It focuses on disseminating best practices (best practices twice) for biomedical research. Click here to learn more about this organization.  

The National meeting was well attended and included other topics such as "Data Science: Opportunity or Threat?" And “StatTag: A Practical Approach to Reproducibility in Clinical and Translational Science."  The innovations in Clinical Trial Design sessions included “Sequential, Multiple Assignment Randomized Trial (SMART) Designs," and “Causal Analysis of Pragmatic Trials."
