StatGen Welcomes Duke Researchers To Its New Home In MSRB I

The Center for Statistical Genetics and Genomics (StatGen) hosted a widely attended Open House in late February to introduce the Duke Community to its mission and location.  The new space is centrally located on the West Campus in the heart of the medical research community in the Medical Sciences Research Building I.

StatGen is affiliated with the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Department, but its membership is much wider.  The goal is to bring together related individuals from the genomic and computational disciplines throughout the campus to create an active research community in this area. Beyond hosting project and working meetings, StatGen will host guest lecturers, seminars and chalk talks.  Three Chalk Talks have already been held at the new location.  To learn more about StatGen and their upcoming events visit their website.
