"From Insight to Impact: Statistical Innovation Driving Clinical Research in the AI Era "
This year's theme delves into the cutting-edge realms of biostatistics and data innovations within pharmaceutical development, particularly in the context of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
Speakers will feature Dr. Mark Levenson, Acting Office Director of the Office of Biostatistics at the Center for Drug Evaluation at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, on April 9, and Dr. Udo Sglavo, Vice President of Applied Artificial Intelligence and Modeling Research and Development at SAS Institute, Inc., on April 10. Five short courses will be offered on April 8, with the option to attend in-person or virtually. Twenty parallel sessions with invited speakers from industry, regulatory agencies, and academics will be offered in-person on April 9 and 10.
We are excited to introduce a new component to the symposium, OpportuNet: DISS 2026 Networking Fair, a networking opportunity designed to foster meaningful connections among all DISS attendees-including students, early-career scientists, and professionals across government, industry, and academia. OpportuNet creates space for conversations about skills, roles, hiring cycles, and the broader landscape of work in your sector, helping to build relationships that can grow into future collaborative partnerships.
