Deep learning has shown promise for human-level performance in analysis medical images and is poised to make a significant impact in the field of radiology. Dr. Mazurowski will give an overview of the work of his lab on development and evaluation of deep learning algorithms in the context of medical imaging. In particular, he will describe the work on cancer detection when training data does not include images of cancer. He will also point to research resources that were made publicly available by his lab.
