Faculty Roland Matsouaka, PhD was recently featured on the NIH – National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences discussing his research and career path under the title “Using Abstract Math to Solve Real-World Crises.”
Originally from the Republic of the Congo, Matsouaka began his academic studies in abstract math and had a revelation early in his career that the key to solving real world problems would require the combined efforts and collaboration among researchers from every field, including mathematics and biostatistics.
