Registration Open For Duke Industry Statistics Symposium April 10-12

Register for the Annual Duke Industry Statistics Symposium.  This year's theme is: "Innovative Design and Analysis for Complex Clinical Trials for Drug and Device Developments.”

The Annual Duke Industry Statistics Symposium (DISS) is organized by the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, Duke University School of Medicine, and co-sponsored by Amgen, Boehringer-Ingelheim, ICSA, Janssen, NC-ASA Chapter, PAREXEL, PPD, IQVIA and SAS.  It was established 6 years ago to discuss challenging issues and recent advances related to the clinical development of drugs and devices and to promote research and collaboration among statisticians from industry, academia, and regulatory agencies.

The schedule will begin with four short courses on the first day. There is one full day Tutorial on Bayesian Methods for Design and Analysis for Clinical Trials and three half day courses: Randomized Phase II Trials, Bioequivalence and Biosimilarity and Adaptive Bayesian and Complex Clinical Trials, What, How and Why.

The next day (April 11) will begin with a keynote by Dr. John Scott, Director for the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on "Informing Decision Making Through Innovative Trial Designs and Analysis" followed by parallel sessions.  On Friday morning, Dr. Scott Berry of Berry Consultants, will give a keynote on "Innovating the Clinical Trial: Adaptive and Platform"  followed by the remainder of the parallel scientific sessions. A poster session will be held on Thursday.
