Dean-Phifer accepted into Scholar Mentoring and Development Program’s 2026 biotech cohort

Computational biology and bioinformatics graduate student Cymfenee Dean-Phifer has been selected to be a part of the 2026 Biotech cohort of the Scholar Mentoring & Development Program (SMDP). The year-long career mentoring program connects high potential, future leaders in life science with mentors in the medical technology, biotechnology, and consumer healthcare industries.

SMDP is offered by The International Center for Professional Development, a United States-based non-profit organization.

This summer, Dean-Phifer she will head to San Diego to participate in leadership training, career development coaching, and a major industry conference.
